visiting the Huon Valley Apple
and Heritage Museum, near
Huonville in the South.
The museum is located in an
old apple packing shed and is
divided into different rooms,
including a dairy, laundry,
kitchen and carpenter's shop.
You will learn how the Huon
Valley evolved from a dense
land of stringybark trees that
was olny accessible by foot or
boat, through to Tasmania's
home for the apple and timber
Tours are held according to
demand, and the museum is
open seven days a week from
9am till 5pm.
